After months of blistering heat, the Algarve is now expecting a reasonably “cool weekend” with temperatures unlikely to go over 23ºC.
In fact, the Algarve will be in for the coolest weather in the country and is expecting very cloudy skies on Saturday (September 5). The sun is only expected to make an appearance on Sunday, according to forecasts from the Portuguese Sea and Atmosphere Institute (IPMA).
Temperatures across the rest of Portugal will be warmer, with maximums expected to reach 26ºC in Lisbon, 28ºC in Porto and 31ºC in Évora. Like in the Algarve, the rest of the country is expecting bluer skies on Sunday.
