Last weekend saw Portugal break new ground in its vaccination roll-out: 200,000 shots were administered between Saturday and Sunday – the majority to teachers and non-teaching staff. The roll-out now is focused on reaching all 60 year olds by the end of May, with the 50s age group taking up efforts in June. Citizens in their 30s and 40s will start being called in July, if all goes according to plan. There appears to be very little data at the moment to show the extent of the uptake of the vaccine as the roll-out progresses.
