Winter comes to an end this weekend with some miserably gloomy weather. Rain, bitter temperatures and lightning are forecast all over Portugal, with maximums expected to plunge from between 7ºC to 3ªC.
Snow is also a possibility, though only in “high altitude areas” such as Serra da Estrela.
According to forecasts, the Algarve can expect minimum temperatures of 9ºC, 10ºC in Lisbon, 7ºC in Porto and inland Bragança will get it in the neck as usual, with minimums just above freezing.
IPMA (Portugal’s sea and atmosphere authority) says the dismal weather may only start to improve on Wednesday.
