Web Summit returns to Lisbon, with capacity for 40,000 ‘in complete sanitary safety’

Web Summit is back at the FIL pavilions in Lisbon, with a live audience this year of up to 40,000 people able to enjoy the experience in complete sanitary safety. Co-founder Paddy Cosgrave says organisers have been working closely with DGS health authority and the government, and now simply cannot wait to open the doors tomorrow and return to normal business. Last year the tech fair had to be ‘online’ due to the pandemic. The fact that ‘business is back’ has been described as “incredible” by Cosgrave. The first day’s guest speaker is Facebook whistleblower Francis Haugan.
