Portimão Câmara distributed blankets to around 20 elderly people in the council area who had been identified by the social services as being at risk from the very cold weather.
This action, which was carried out on January 9, is part of the Câmara’s charity work, Portimão Solidário, which started in October 2007.
The blankets were taken to the homes of elderly people living in the Portimão city, Senhora de Verde and Arão areas.
