The wooden walkway in Praia Grande, in the Silves council, is to undergo renovation works.
According to the Algarve water authority (ARH), which is responsible for the project, the 400 metre long beach walkway, which was built with old railway sleepers, needs repair.
The works are scheduled to start in September.
