Walking with God
God’s word is a lantern
To light our way each night.
This lamp will guide our unsure feet
To safety through life’s rocky way.
Walking with God along dark roads
Is not lonely, for His love
Is in our hearts. His hand in ours
So, with hope, He leads us on.
We stand and see the holy mount;
That light shining in dark places.
Until at dawn, the day-spring from
on high
Fills our hearts with joy
Prayer, on our walk with God,
Lights a flame in our hearts
Filling them with holy fire
Which the spirit nurtures in our souls.
