Walk to admire the windmills of Cortelha

A WALK entitled Os Moinhos (The Windmills) is being organised by the Associação dos Amigos da Cortelha, in Salir (Loulé), on March 12, at 9.30am. Walkers will have the opportunity to admire the windmills in the area surrounding Cortelha, enjoying a route that takes in streams, wells and natural springs. They will also have the chance to meet with the inhabitants of the interior villages and see, first-hand, the beauty of the fauna and flora of the Serra do Caldeirão. During the course of the 9km walk, there will be a visit to a windmill that was recently restored, as well as a break for a picnic.
