A walk for charity is taking place in the western Algarve on Sunday, November 20 from 11am.
The Rotary Club of Silves is inviting everyone to join in the 8km or 3km walk, which will follow marked trails, all in aid of the Bom Samaritano children’s home in Alvor.
The walk begins at a site northwest of Alvor, past the village of Figueira “with spectacular views from the hilltops”, say organisers. Parking will be directed at the site.
The off-road trails cover hillsides, so sturdy shoes are the order of the day. Snacks and drinks will be sold at the end of the walks.
A musician is donating his talent during the after-walk recovery and a flea market table has books and treasures to browse through.
