Organisers couldn’t be happier about the success of the second ‘Walk & Art Fest’ held in Barão de São João, near Lagos, between November 1 and 3.
The number of people taking part in the event increased from 500 to 670 and there were also 22 activities which completely sold out, which organisers say is “proof of the quality and diversity of the event’s programme”.
The event is becoming a must for nature and art lovers as it features everything from hikes through the woods to art exhibitions, wellness activities and musical performances. All in all, there were 63 activities to choose from.
Said Lagos Mayor Hugo Pereira: “This is a winning event which has helped promote not only the beauty of the village of Barão de São João but also the charm of the woods and Lagos’ potential as a destination for walking.”
Organisers have already confirmed that the event will return next year, between November 6 and 8, with the goal of attracting “even more people”.
