Voting deadline approaches for World Golf Awards

It’s less than a month away but the outcome is still in voters’ hands. The voting deadline for this year’s World Golf Awards – which will take place at the Conrad Algarve in Quinta do Lago from November 13 to 16 – closes on October 2 and organisers have admitted that “tension is mounting” among all the nominees.
Awards will be made across a range of categories, with leading golf tourism destinations competing for titles including Best Golf Resort, Best Golf Course, Best Golf Tour Operator and Best New Golf Course.
Chris Frost, managing director of the World Golf Awards, said: “There are now just four weeks remaining for voters to cast their ballots to select the best from the rapidly-growing golf tourism market. Register now and make your voice heard.”
The presentation of the awards on November 15 will form the centrepiece of the event’s three-day itinerary, allowing guests to enjoy the facilities at the Quinta do Lago Resort.
Among highlights will be a chance to play on the newly-renovated Quinta do Lago North Course.
The World Golf Classic Golf Competition will be held on the new Quinta do Lago North Course during the day of the Gala Ceremony (November 15).
