Portugal’s local elections are being held on Sunday, October 11, to elect new Câmara, Parish council and municipal assembly Presidents.
There are six main political parties in Portugal but independent candidates may also stand for local elections.
Foreign residents who are registered to vote should go to a polling station in their local council.
