Castro Marim Council is creating a network of volunteers to “help people in need” during the coronavirus outbreak.
“The goal is to expand the municipality’s social support network due to the development of the Covid-19 pandemic,” said the council in a press communiqué.
“We are aware that this pandemic could demand a lot from our employees, which is why the council is creating a network of volunteers to help those most in need,” the council added.
Anyone interested in “protecting those who are isolated because they are infected or part of a risk group” can volunteer to help by simply contacting the council.
