Vodafone and NOS have taken the decision to stop transmitting Russian channels in Portugal due to the war in Ukraine. This means RT (Russia Today) based in Moscow, and financed by Vladimir Putin’s government will no longer be available, nor RT Documentary. Elsewhere, the European Union and UK have taken similar steps – banishing the Sputnik news service as well. European Commissioner Thierry Breton has tweeted: “There is no room in our digital space for war propaganda from Russia”
