The distinction was presented last week at the Publituris Portugal Travel Awards 2023 in Alcobaça.

Vilamoura Marina received the “Best Portuguese Marina” award at the Publituris Portugal Travel Awards 2023 gala, which took place on July 6 at the Montebelo Mosteiro de Alcobaça Historic Hotel. It is the 12th consecutive year that the marina has been awarded this prize.

“It is with enormous pride that we receive this award, not only because it recognises that we are the best marina in Portugal. But also, because it is awarded by a panel of judges specialised in tourism and the general public itself, taking into account the quality of the facilities and services rendered”, explains Isolete Correia, Administrator of Vilamoura World.

The award contemplates the high level of customer satisfaction at Vilamoura Marina, the quality of the nautical services, and the set of support equipment available, acknowledging the marina as an example of success.

This recognition comes following its distinction as “Best International Marina of the Year” in 2022, presented by The Yacht Harbour Association, an award Vilamoura Marina received for the sixth time.

This year, Vilamoura became the first Portuguese marina to receive the 5 Gold Anchor Platinum certification, the highest distinction awarded by the association, with only 11 marinas worldwide holding this certification.

Vilamoura Marina was a pioneer in Portugal and occupies a leading position in the recreational boating scene, continuing to be the largest Marina in the country, with 825 berths. It has a fully equipped shipyard and a professional sailing training centre. It is the stage for national and international events, such as regattas, training camps for Olympic sailing teams and the Marina de Vilamoura International Boat Show.
