Vilamoura International School hosts Christmas Fair in aid of three charities

The Vilamoura International School (Colégio Internacional de Vilamoura, CIV) will be holding a Christmas Fair on Saturday, November 26, from 10am to 3pm, in aid of three charitable causes: the Social Cafeteria in Quarteira, the Support Centre for the Homeless (CASA) and The Big Hand Project.

Over the past 30 years, CIV has promoted this solidarity initiative, which aids charitable causes supporting vulnerable communities.

At the fair, there will be stalls selling national and international food, regional products, confectionery, organic products, books, toys, and handicraft.

There will be seasonal music and children’s entertainment, as well as a Christmas raffle draw.

But a Christmas Fair wouldn’t be the same without the arrival of Santa, which is expected at 11am.

Food items will also be collected for the Food Bank.

“In the current context, following the pandemic and with the war in Ukraine, price hikes have strongly impacted everyone, particularly the most disadvantaged. Thus, the school community is mobilising to support the most vulnerable. For almost four decades, the educational community of CIV has been an example in promoting humanistic values,” said the Pedagogical Director, Cidália Bicho.

The Christmas Fair has the support of Loulé Town Hall, Quarteira Parish Council and Inframoura.
