Vilamoura International School announces annual Christmas fair

Vilamoura International School will be filled with festive fun for this year’s Christmas Fair to be held on Saturday, November 30. The event is open to all and runs from 10am to 3pm.

There will be music, food stalls, local and organic products, sweets, books, toys, Christmas gifts, crafts, a raffle and, of course, a very special visit from Father Christmas, among many other activities for all age groups.

In a bid to highlight the importance of “solidarity and active citizenship”, the Christmas Fair will be in aid of four causes: Quarteira’s Soup Kitchen; the Big Hand project, which sponsors children in Mozambique, financing their studies – www.thebighand.org; the short-term foster care home “Os Miúdos”, which can host up to 12 children, both boys and girls up to the age of 12, and works to ensure their safety in dangerous situations arising from neglect, abuse or other factors; and Jack Wilson, an ex-student who sustained a spinal injury this summer and is now at the Rehabilitation Centre in São Brás de Alportel.

There will also be a stand to donate pet food for the Animal Rescue Algarve organisation.
