Learn how to use Cataplanas from some of the country’s top chefs during the second edition of the Cataplana Experience until Sunday at Vilamoura Marina.
Chefs will be demonstrating recipes and different techniques during show cooking demonstrations to take place daily from 6pm until midnight, with free admission for spectators.
This versatile cooking instrument can be used to make much more than just rice dishes and can be used for steaming, smoking and even for making desserts as the chefs will show.
Chef Bertílio Gomes, responsible for planning the event, said: “The Cataplana is a beautiful and unique cooking instrument that is not seen anywhere else in the world and is much underappreciated. This event will show its versatility.”
