Visitors to the third Vilamoura Boat Show, this year coinciding with Easter weekend, are able to view some of the most luxurious boats currently on the market.
Around 50 boats are on display at the show, which started on Wednesday and runs until Sunday at Vilamoura Marina, and includes examples of new brands and models of leisure boats from around the world, from high end luxury boats to more affordable craft.
Companies participating in the event, the largest of its kind in Portugal, include Sunseeker Portugal, MC Yates, Angel Pilot, Boat Center, Euroyachts Limited, PrimeYates and Moura Fibra, which will be representing boat manufacturers Atlantis, Chris Craft, Cappelli, Sunseeker, Cranchi, Fjord Yachts, Hanse, Monterey, Rio, Azimute, Chaparral, Sea Doo, Ferreti, Pershing and Itama.
Paulo Jorge from organisers GL events told the Algarve Resident: “The Vilamoura Marina Boat Show is already considered a reference event, both nationally and internationally, for lovers of the maritime world.
“Despite the current economic cycle that Europe is going through, the recreational boating industry continues to show signs of growth. Portugal has hundreds of kilometres of coastline, beaches and dams, which offer a competitive advantage for this business segment.
“The country has a long-standing maritime tradition, something we want to continue and the Vilamoura Boat Show 2012 is an example of that.”
The 2012 Vilamoura Boat Show runs from 10am until 8pm daily until Sunday (April 8).
