Vila Vita Parc ranks 14th in Top 30 Destination Spa Resorts in the World

Condé Nast Traveler announced this week the results of its annual Readers’ Choice Awards with Vila Vita Parc in Porches distinguished as the 14th ‘Destination Spa Resort in the World’.

More than 715,000 Condé Nast Traveler readers submitted an incredible number of responses rating their travel experiences across the globe.

“The results of this year’s survey, conducted at the start of the Covid-19 pandemic, are a testament to the lasting power of a meaningful travel experience,” said Jesse Ashlock, US Editor of Condé Nast Traveler.

“The winners represent the best of the best for our audience and offer plenty of trip-planning inspiration for all the adventures we can’t wait to have next.”

A member of the prestigious Leading Hotels of the World collection, Vila Vita Parc enjoys “a stunning clifftop location within beautiful subtropical gardens in the village of Porches, in Portugal’s Algarve”.

Its Vila Vita Spa by Sisley, the first Sisley spa in Portugal, is “a sanctuary of wellness and features a contemporary new design inspired by the region’s enchanting sea caves, including natural stone and restful tones of blue and green to reflect the many hues of the Atlantic Ocean”.

Guests can unwind in the spa, which comprises 14 treatment rooms, all equipped with the latest Gharieni treatment beds or enjoy a fitness class in the spa’s studio such as aerial yoga, Pilates or TRX.

The studio features floor-to-ceiling windows, offering an impressive backdrop of the hotel’s gardens whilst guests move into their Asana pose.

Right next to it, Vila Vita Parc has available two new Spa Suites, allowing wellness-seekers “to glide effortlessly from Suite to Spa” during their stay.

Six Senses Douro Valley was the only other spa in Portugal featuring on the list, ranking second, while the world’s best destination spa resort was Ananda in the Himalayas in India.

The Condé Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Awards are the longest-running and most prestigious recognition of excellence in the travel industry and are commonly known as “the best of the best of travel”.
