Algarve’s luxury resort Vila Vita Parc near Porches is celebrating 20 years of offering a top class service to its guests.
To commemorate the special milestone, which was officially celebrated on April 26, Vila Vita Parc has created a special 20th anniversary calendar, including a series of events throughout the year.
One of the highlights will be the 20th Anniversary Golf Tournament at Vila Vita Parc, which will take place between October 24 and 28. Participants will play on Oceânico Amendoeira’s Nick Faldo and O’Connor Junior, as well as on the Old Course in Vilamoura. Defying courses, relaxing hours in the spa and an exclusive gala dinner hosted by two-star Michelin Chef Hans Neuner are some of the inclusions in the four or seven night package.
Golfers may also use the Vila Vita nine-hole golf course, the 18 hole putting green and the driving range free of charge. The package includes a rental car from/to Faro and starts at €1.395 per person.
A Continuous Renovation Programme
Over the last couple of years, as part of the continuous renovation programme to improve the facilities and service to its guests, Vila Vita Parc inaugurated the Oasis Parc Suites with their rooftop terraces, opened Café Bica and the German Biergarten in Porches with its gourmet butcher and wine shop, offering organic produce and products from their own vineyard and farm in the Alentejo, Herdade dos Grous.
New Villas
Vila Vita Parc is also launching three new villas just in time for the summer, each offering the ultimate in luxury, privacy and service, complemented by a professional and personalised butler service.
Villas benefit from the superb facilities that Vila Vita offers including access to eight restaurants, such as the two Michelin starred Ocean restaurant, and the Vital Spa featuring two jacuzzis, two saunas, steam bath and an ice room.
Oasis Parc Suites
Vila Vita Parc is now renovating 10 Oasis Parc Suites which will be ready by June 2012. These two-storey townhouses, built in Moorish style, are reminiscent of a typical Portuguese village.
By summer 2013, the remaining 36 suites in Oasis Parc suites will all be renovated with a fresher look. Prices start at €320 per night for an Oasis Suite.
Another important addition for the summer will be the construction of a 400m2 pool at Oasis Parc, with a children’s area, a bar and space for an additional 80 sun loungers.
Awards and Accolades
Ocean restaurant, which earned its first Michelin Star in 2009, proudly received its second star in November 2011, becoming the only other restaurant in Portugal to gain a second star in over 13 years. In March, it reopened with a seating capacity increased to 36.
Chef Hans Neuner has also been voted “Chef of the Year 2011” by Wine magazine as well as by Expresso’s Boa Cama, Boa Mesa.
