Vila Vita Biergarten celebrates autumn with game dishes

With the arrival of autumn, new dishes are celebrated on the Vila Vita Biergarten menu. During one month, from October 15 to November 15, a series of game dishes can be savoured at the Biergarten in Porches.

This year’s specialities include Game Board (Game Sausage, Pigeon Confit, Wild Boar Sausage, Deer dumpling, Boar Chorizo, Persimmon and Elderberry Jam, Pomegranate, Cress, Quail Egg) or the Game and Mushroom Puff Pastry, Spinach and Walnuts Salad to start, followed by the Wild Boar Spareribs, Medronho Glacé, Chestnut Spätzle or the Wild Sheep Goulash (Mouflon), Semmelknödel, Grapes and Gorse or the “Bratwurst” Venison Sausage, Sauerkraut, Mashed Potatoes and Apple Mustard from Frankfurt. For dessert, a Demi-cuit of Chestnuts, Hazelnut sauce and Cassis Ice-cream.

And all paired with a selection of German and artisanal beers, such as the Porches Craft Beer.

The Vila Vita Metzgerei butcher is also open from Tuesdays to Saturdays, where premium meat cuts from Herdade dos Grous in the Alentejo are transformed by Master Butcher Thomas Weber into German specialities and other delicatessen.
