PJ police are described as investigation allegations that the Misericórdia (social support institution) of Vila Verde is financing its local newspaper Semanário V, which is published only online. According to reports, inspectors have ‘searched’ the institution. O Minho reports that it is against the statutes of the Misericórdia to finance anything that is ‘not of a social nature’.
