Vila Joya celebrates Portugal flavours

High culinary art and good company is the keynote of two special dinners by top chefs from Brazil and Portugal that will take place at Vila Joya on the Praia da Galé, Albufeira, on March 8 and 9.

The event, entitled Portugal dos Sabores, brings together some of the best Brazilian and Portuguese chefs and has been organised in collaboration with the ‘Year of Brazil in Portugal’.

The first dinner is entirelydedicated to Brazilian cuisine and features Helena Rizzo (Mani) Daniel Redondo (Mani) and TsuyoshiMurakami (Kinoshita).

On the second day, Vila Joya chef Dieter Koschina will join other well-known Portuguese chefs for a night dedicated to Portugal. Some of the chefs taking part are Hans Neuner (Ocean), Vitor Sobral (Tasca da Esquina), Leonel Pereira (São Gabriel), Luis Baena (Hoteis Tivoli), Albano Lourenço (Arcadas da Capela), José Cordeiro (Feitoria), José Avillez(Belcanto), Ricardo Costa (Yeatman), Benoit Sinthon (II Gallo D´Oro) and Paulo Morais (Umai).

Between March 6 and 7, the preparation includes the gathering of perceves (sea barnacles) in Sagres and the search for truffles in the Alentejo.

The culinary experience offers a menu of between eight and 12 dishes at a cost of €198 euros per person (drinks included).
