Vila do Bispo council has announced that it will be handing out 70 Christmas hampers so that the borough’s poorest families can enjoy a happier Christmas “with a table filled with food”.
The hampers will include holiday staples such as codfish and olive oil as well as flour, sugar, milk, canned goods, rice, pasta and more.
