Vila do Bispo and Tavira councils have confirmed that they will be taking part in the Earth Hour movement, which every year sees millions of people around the world turning off their lights for an hour between 8.30pm and 9.30pm on the last Saturday of March.
This year, the symbolic event organised by the World Wildlife Fund for Nature (WWF) will be held on Saturday, March 27.
