HUNDREDS OF experts gathered in London recently to choose the world’s finest wines in London’s International Wine Challenge.
This year around 10,000 wines from 32 countries competed for the coveted awards. Portugal submitted 534 wines in various categories.
Herdade da Malhadinha Nova, an Alentejo family estate, participated in the event for the first time and was delighted to win prizes for best Alentejo wine and best Portuguese wine with its Malhadinha Tinto 2003 – a red wine.
