Tennis players from all over Portugal took part in the 15th annual Sovereign tennis tournament for veterans in the age groups of over 35, over 45, over 50 and over 60 for men and women.
Fifty national and foreign players took to the courts at the Carvoeiro Clube de Ténis with winners coming away with hand painted pottery from Olaria de Porches.
Winners on the day included Valentina Green in the ladies over 35 category, Mo Beilby and Debbie Simão in the over 35 ladies doubles category, Nuno Delfino in the men’s over 35 competition, Jorge Varela in the men’s over 45, Ferreira da Costa in the men’s over 50, Manuel
