A Venezuelan student hiding more than 31,000 doses of cocaine under his clothes was arrested at Lisbon airport on Saturday, January 4.
The youth, aged 23 and arriving from Caracas, Venezuela, was “wearing a vest under his shirt where the cocaine was hidden near his abdomen”, said the Lisbon PSP Metropolitan Command.
He was also in possession of four mobile phones and cash in three currencies – euros, bolivars and Philippine pesos – which were also seized by the police.
The man was due to appear in court on Monday.
