Vehicle inspections to be tougher from November

From November 1 vehicle inspections are to ‘get tougher’, with cleanliness, inside and out, being an important criteria.

If the unclean state of the vehicle precludes the inspector from carrying out his/ her checks, then it can be failed.

Kilometer readings will also become part of the process, to ensure transparency within the second-hand car market.

Other checks on brakes, power steering, windows etc are to become “more precise”.
