Vanguard sweeps the board at SIL Property Awards 2020

Vanguard Properties won four awards at the annual “SIL Portuguese Property Awards 2020” for its projects White Shell in Porches (Algarve) and Castilho 203 in Lisbon, winning in all the categories it entered.

Castilho 203 won the award for “Best Real Estate Development in the Housing Category” and “Best Urban Rehabilitation in the Housing Category”, while White Shell won the awards for “Best Real Estate Development in the Tourism Category” and “Best Sustainable and Energy Efficiency Construction”.

The decision from the Portuguese Industrial Association/Fundação AIP and SIL Strategic Board working party on the SIL Portuguese Property Awards 2020 in the various categories was unanimous in attributing the awards to Vanguard Properties for its contribution to the development of the real estate sector.

The decision-making criteria are based on various factors including the quality of the architecture, the conceptual content and the contribution the projects make in terms of innovation, urban planning, architecture, structure, construction, energy savings, urban and landscape/cityscape integration and technical and building quality.

The “SIL Portuguese Property Awards” are organised by the Salão Imobiliário de Portugal, which this year presented a special hybrid edition which was both in presence and in remote digital format. These awards recognise quality and innovation in real estate sector development, municipal council projects, public works, rental housing, sustainable construction, urban rehabilitation projects as well as energy efficiency in buildings.
