A van driver narrowly avoided death on Thursday morning (April 9) after losing control of his vehicle and crashing into three cars and two houses near cork factory Corticeira Amorim in Silves.
The accident, described by a witness on Sulinformação news portal as “something out of a movie”, happened at around 9.30am. After crashing into the cars, the van ended up on top of one of the properties’ walls as well as one of the cars.
The 33-year-old driver, who worked for delivery company GLS, was taken to Portimão Hospital with only minor wounds. No one else was hurt in the crash.
According to TVI, the man is believed to have lost control of the van due to the wet road surface.
