Valverde Lawn Bowls Club Almancil held the final of their Summer Singles competition on Friday, September 7. The finalists were Paul Rawlings and Jack Romano who had an exciting and closely-fought game.
Paul was within two shots of winning when Jack scored three shots to take the match.
The trophy was presented by club vice president Helen Scott. Jack has won the competition three times and been runner up once.
Valverde now begins the new season by welcoming 25 touring teams from the UK. The club will also be entering three teams in the Bowls Algarve Winter League.
