On Sunday, April 2 Valverde Lawn Bowls Club in Almancil held its Spring Pairs competition. Twenty pairs took part including bowlers from Tavira, Balaia and Pedras bowls clubs.
The event was sponsored by Private Fund Management in Almancil.
Each pair played three nine end matches with points for ends won as well as the game.
The eventual winners were Carol Barnes and Peter Hollis with a total score of 47 points with Margaret and Peter Wilson in second place with 44 points.
The trophies were presented by club president David Russell.
