Valverde Lawn Bowls Club in Almancil held its end of season social evening on Thursday, June 26. Twenty-four members took part in a fun bowls competition. The winning team, by two shots, was Margaret Cairns, Mary Ann Whitehead and Nick Beaumont.
Club Chairman David Russell presented the winners with bottles of sparkling wine. Friends and family joined the bowlers for dinner on the terrace of the Don Camillo Restaurant.
Bowling will continue throughout the summer months. The club welcomes bowlers who are on holiday in the Algarve. Roll ups take place on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. Be there early for the 9.40am draw.
