On Sunday, October 29, Valverde Bowls Club Almancil held its Anniversary Pairs Competition.
Twenty pairs took part and the weather stayed fine and sunny.
The final result was close. Margaret and Peter Wilson came third with 42 points and Brian and Mandy Fitzgibbon took second place with 43. The winners were Jack Romano and Paul Rawlings with 47 points.
The prizes were presented by Rui Gomes from sponsors Ibex Insurance in Almancil.
