Valverde Lawn Bowls Club, Almancil, celebrated St. Valentine a day early with a fun bowling competition.
Twelve teams competed and most members wore red to mark the day. Club Captain Keith Henley presented the winning team of Jennifer, Arthur and Jan with bottles of champagne.
The club is holding an Open Day on Sunday, February 24 at 2.30pm. There will be a demonstration game, free tuition and the chance to try for yourself. Meet the members and enjoy complimentary drinks and snacks. You just need flat soled shoes. The club is located at the rear of the Don Camillo restaurant on the road from Almancil to Vale do Lobo.
