Vale do Lobo to host beach clean-up this weekend

Vale do Lobo and Associação Vida Nativa will hold a clean-up at the resort’s beach on Saturday (November 20). Taking place between 10am and 1pm, the event is open to everyone.

Say organisers, the clean-up aims to celebrate November 16’s National Sea Day and also raise awareness about the “importance of protecting the natural environment that we enjoy during a large part of the year, but especially during the summer months”.

The initiative will begin with a small walk along the beach, the goal being to collect rubbish along the way. It is expected to last three hours and volunteers are encouraged to take comfortable clothing, a hat, sun lotion and water.

“Vale do Lobo beach extends for two kilometres. Its golden sand and emblematic ochre cliffs provide visitors with a scene of unmatched natural beauty.
Contributing to the maintenance of the ecosystem by collecting rubbish will help restore the natural balance of the area whilst at the same time providing participants with a fun and crucially important experience,” the resort adds.
