Áurea and The Best of Queen are some of the highlights
Vale do Lobo is hosting a series of open-air thematic concerts this summer, featuring fado, piano, violin, Portuguese guitar, jazz, bossa nova, soul, Latin and classic sounds at the stunning setting of the new Vale Real Experience area, overlooking one of the golf course’s iconic lakes.
Every Saturday, until the beginning of September, will be marked by exclusive intimate concerts for a limited number of participants.
After performances by Nuno Bastos, Buba Espinho and Mr. Vlaven & Pedro Carrilho earlier this month, it is now time to welcome the magnificent voice of Portuguese singer Áurea for an open-air concert on July 23.
Áurea is one of the most successful artists on the Portuguese music scene and promises an unforgettable musical evening showcasing her album entitled ‘Confessions’, at the 18th hole of the Ocean Golf Course in Vale do Lobo.
Back to the Vale Real Experience setting on July 30, the “Feels like Saudade” concert will present a great Portuguese fado singer – Adelaide Sofia.
Born in Figueira da Foz, Adelaide Sofia has performed in prestigious places where Fado lives like Café Luso Palácio das Especiarias, Forcado, Severa, among others. In this concert, Adelaide Sofia presents herself in trio with voice, viola and Portuguese guitar.
On August 13, the “Dialogue of Guitars on Stage” concert by the Amar Guitarra trio featuring musicians João Cuña, Pedro Mendes and Carlos Poubel will present a show of acoustic and Portuguese guitars, exploring various musical genres such as fado, flamenco, morna, jazz, gypsy and tango.
“Latin Rhythms” by Roda de Choro on Saturday, August 20 brings to Vale Real Experience a Portuguese-Brazilian quintet renowned for interpreting Brazilian “Chorinho” themes in a unique and creative way.
Their energetic music reveals a fusion of rhythms from Chorinho to Fandango, Tango to Corridinho, Waltz to Malhão, Scottish to Fado, Polka to Vira.
On Saturday, August 27, from 8pm, the resort will host an open-air concert that will ‘live forever’: “The Best of Queen”!
Expected to be a great summer moment, this exceptional concert of Queen themes by the Orquestra Clássica and ONJ – Orquestra Nacional de Jovens will be a unique event that combines classical music with romance and mystery in the stunning setting of the golf course at sunset.
The greatest Queen hits will be interpreted by a 36-piece orchestra plus rock band (keyboard, drums, bass, guitar and vocalist) providing the opportunity to relive some of the great classics of one of the biggest rock bands on the planet.
Jazz and blues are the inspiration for “The Bluezy Jazz Concert” by the contagious Trio Chicoronho that takes place on September 3. The line-up includes Néné Peleira, Portuguese guitarist, composer and producer, who was born in Lubango, Angola and started his career at the age of 16, accompanying several Portuguese artists over the years, in musical styles ranging from Traditional Music to Pop/Rock.
In this debut concert in Vale do Lobo, the artist will present his Chicoronho Trio (guitar, bass and drums) with a guest vocalist.
Closing the Vale do Lobo summer concerts, jazz, R&B and soul promise a last unmissable concert on Saturday, September 10 by the Majazztic & Friends group. The musical influences of its musicians are ranging from traditional and popular Portuguese music to classical, world music and jazz, with the combination of instruments such as the accordion, trumpet, flugelhorn and violin.
