Vale do Lobo rallies to help Ukrainian refugees

Resort launches charity initiative to collect essential items

Algarve resort Vale do Lobo has launched a charity drive to collect essential items for Ukrainian refugees fleeing the war.

The items can be delivered to the resort’s Club of Clubs between 9am and 6pm.

Among the most needed items are food products (canned goods, flour, sugar, energetic drinks and bars, dried fruit, baby food and milk powder, teabags and instant coffee); hygiene products (baby wipes, diapers, toothbrushes and toothpaste, sanitary towels, shampoo and shower gel and soap); and first-aid products (sterile compresses, bandages, disposable gloves, masks, betadine/disinfectant, ointment for burns, painkillers and anti-inflammatories).

“At Vale do Lobo, we cultivate a sense community, of belonging and togetherness. Like when families and friends share quality time at the resort. Or simply when neighbours wave to each other as they pass by. But also when our members join together around meaningful causes through Wolf Valley Charity Fund,” said the resort.

“Committed to the principles of community spirit, we are deeply saddened by the current disaster unfolding at our European doorstep, in Ukraine. Facing an unprecedented humanitarian crisis, with more than 2.5 million people fleeing the war, we feel it is everyone’s responsibility to help. Help to keep people safe, supported and cared for,” it added.
