Family entertainment, fun activities and festive shopping are the main ingredients at this Saturday’s Vale do Lobo Christmas Market, running from 10am to 5.30pm.
The event, now in its 10th year, is described as “the place to pick up fantastic Christmas gifts, to sample gourmet food and wine, and to get into the festive spirit with entertainment for all ages”.
The Christmas Market is held at the Parque do Golfe as well as at the resort’s auditorium, “a warm and inviting covered area, thus, no worries about the weather spoiling the fun of the day”, say organisers.
This year the event will be welcoming a record number of exhibitors, showcasing everything from gourmet wines and food to jewellery, arts and crafts, ceramics, fashion, children’s clothing, sweets, cakes, regional produce, flowers, paintings, body products, toys, cards, and much more – all under one roof.
Visitors can choose to stay the whole day and have lunch or a snack from the gourmet caterers Algarve Fine Food, Soul Food Algarve Catering and Asiana The Indian Caterers who will be running the food court and restaurant area at the market. There is also the chance to take part in a raffle, with proceeds going to the Wolf Valley Charity Fund, which provides support and finance to numerous causes in the local area.
This year, as the Christmas Market celebrates its 10th anniversary, the resort wants to commemorate the milestone with visitors and exhibitors in a special way, introducing new elements, innovative stands, decorations and festive ambience throughout the day.

Interest in the Christmas Market this year has already surpassed all expectations, with organisers saying it will likely be the resort’s biggest event to date.
