Vale do Lobo Christmas market attracts 1,000 visitors

The Vale do Lobo Christmas Market once again raised nearly €1,000 to support local needy causes. Around 1,000 visitors and more than 50 exhibitors helped to create a fantastic festive atmosphere at the annual market on December 6.
For the fifth consecutive year, the event combined a luxury lifestyle Christmas gift market with a gourmet food and wine fair, together with a fashion show by Nahja, children’s entertainment from Oficina de Sonhos, and on-stage performances from the teenagers of the Algarve Glee Club, the amazing Angie ViolinLive show and the Gospel Choir from the Centro Comunitário Vale de Silves.
Exhibitors delighted visitors with stalls selling everything from gourmet food products to unique Christmas presents while local singing groups, fashion shows and performers entertained everyone, both young and old, throughout the day.
During the event, around €1,000 was raised through a raffle for the Wolf Valley Charity Fund, with the money being used to help local needy causes. The Fund provides support and finance to the disabled, the under-privileged and the socially deprived.
Vale do Lobo CEO, Diogo Gaspar Ferreira, said: “The Christmas market was a fantastic success with more visitors, exhibitors and entertainment than ever before.
“We would like to thank everyone for their support in the event and hope that next year the market will exceed all expectations once again.”
The Algarve Resident was once again the media sponsor of the event, alongside both Infralobo E.M. and Loulé Council as official partners and not forgetting the cooperation of Fine Dining in Style in the food court area. Thanks are due to all the exhibitors for their efforts.
The Christmas Market was designed to kick off the festive season in style and Vale do Lobo will be continuing the seasonal spirit throughout the month with music, entertainment, golf competitions and much more, while the resort will be finishing off the year with a fireworks display over the emblematic cliffs to welcome in 2015 with a bang.
