Vaccines available without prior appointment ‘at any health centre in country’

Portugal’s vaccination rollout is approaching the ‘home straight’ with policy now that anyone who hasn’t been vaccinated yet but has an SNS health service number can walk into any vaccination centre in operation in the country and start the process. All they need to do first is register for a ‘senha’ (ticket) online, under the ‘Casa Aberta’ system (click here) on the day they would like to be vaccinated. This latest development has been designed to ensure that even people on holiday away from their home can take up the vaccination process. As of today, 82% of the country has been vaccinated.
