UPDATE: Suspected killers of young Romanian remanded in custody

The three men suspected of gunning down young Romanian Thomas Oros in Almancil last weekend are to await trial date in prison, a Loulé judge has decided.

The trio’s first hearing took place on Wednesday morning (March 23) at Loulé court.

As the men are considered “dangerous” and have “criminal records for drug dealing”, the judge decided their detention in preventive custody was the best way to allow police investigations to continue.

The men, aged between 21 and 26 and said to live in Olhão, were caught by PJ criminal police on Monday, two days after Oros was gunned down in the street in Loulé (click here).

The motive for the killing has been suggested as “revenge after being duped by the youngster in a drug deal”.
