Unlimited night flights at Lisbon airport will be possible from today until August 8, according to an ordinance approved by the government and published in Diário da República. The ordinance “creates an exceptional regime regarding the operation of aircraft” at Lisbon airport. “The exceptional regime provided for covers only scheduled air movements with an assigned time slot, which, for unforeseen reasons and out of the control of the air carrier, may be delayed, forcing the flight to enter the night period between 00:00 and 02:00”, says the text. There are also changes in the early morning period. According to the ordinance, flights can also be brought forward to the period between 05:30 and 06:00, provided they have a slot allocated for the period between 06:00 and 06:30.
