University of the Algarve signs protocol

The University of the Algarve and the Federal Technological University of Paraná in Brazil signed a protocol on September 6 which aims to promote the scientific and technical cooperation between the two entities on September 6.

As part of the agreement, students, teachers and researchers from both universities will have the opportunity of taking part in exchanges and working jointly in conferences, lectures, seminars and other similar activities.

The Federal Technological University of Paraná is the first federal university in Brazil, as it was converted from the Federal Centre for Technological Education of Paraná. The institution has around 2,000 teachers, nearly 1,000 staff members and 25,000 students.
