AROUND 600 dental students from the University of Lisbon held a demonstration on Tuesday to protest against the conditions of the building and the resultant health risks.
A spokesperson for the students said the building had fallen into disrepair, and this posed a serious health risk to patients as well as dental students. The roof is said to leak after heavy rainfall and students also claim they are obliged to use equipment that is more than 30 years old. A spokesperson for the university said they were aware of the problems.
