Lagos Câmara and the UNESCO National Commission will be signing a protocol of cooperation this month for the creation of a UNESCO Centre in Lagos, which will have its headquarters at Edifício da Janela Manuelina.
The new UNESCO centre will be dedicated to the historical and cultural links between Portugal and the world in the past and present days.
The centre will also aim to protect the values proclaimed by UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation), including the promotion of cultural events, exhibitions, seminars, among other activities.
