Under control

ALL SCREENINGS for tuberculosis at the International School of the Algarve in Porches, Lagoa, have come back negative and no further action needs to be taken, says headmaster John Butterworth.

The tests were initiated after a teacher, who left in December, was diagnosed with tuberculosis a few weeks ago.

All of the staff and the students who came into contact with the teacher were tested at the school and after the final results came back, John Butterworth told The Resident: “Everything is all clear.”
