The Algarveans’ spring production Poor Old Uncle George is in the final stages of rehearsals and a general air of excitement is bubbling through the cast.
Costumes are ready, scenery painted and the last minute details of décor for the set are being attended to ready for the move into the Lagoa Auditorium and final dress rehearsals.
Show promoter Jenny Grainer said: “This new play, a comedy, is all set to amuse and lift its audience’s spirits at a time when rather too many items of depressing news surround us.
Poor Old Uncle George by The Algarveans Experimental Theatre Group, who has been providing local entertainment in English for the last 21 years, is being staged on May 17, 18 and 19 at 8.30pm.
